The visitors of the 7th VinCE Budapest Wine Show can taste 1000 wines of the world’s 182 wineries in the Corinthia Hotel between March 3 and 5. They can participate in an organic wine tour, try the world’s first smart phone wine dispensing system and they can attend the master courses of leading wine experts, hirado.hu wrote.
Main organizer Ágnes Németh pointed out at the VinCE Budapest press conference on Friday that the region’s largest wine event will be held from Thursday to Sunday instead of Friday to Sunday. The opening day will be dominated by the culinary profession, but after that, the visitors can also participate in the walking tasting and the professional events. However, the tickets will be limited.
Ágnes Peller, co-organizer, added that almost all Hungarian wineries will be represented. In addition, several new exhibitors will come from Slovenia through Austria and Italy to Turkey, so the foreign wineries will be present in large numbers.
According to hirado.hu, VinCE Budapest Shop is a novelty: the visitors can buy the products of the tasting through an application for a few days. A part of the ticket price can be used for buying products in the online store.
There will be a separate “hike route” for the stands of organic producers. Those who did this trip can get gifts. You can try the world’s first wine dispensing and keeping system operated by a smart phone in an additional room.
Many people are interested in the masterclasses and workshops. Mumm champagne house – which produces the official champagne of Formula 1 – will present special products under the leadership of cellar master Thomas Lignier. Veuve Cliquot is expected to bring sparkling wines as well, while György Márkus guides a tasting of the world’s surprising units. There will be a special Tokaj champagne course, and the Spanish wineries will introduce their traditional products during the lecture on the cava.
In addition, there will be a presentation about the wine regions of Washington, while Elisabeth Gabay Master of Wine (MW) will hold lecture on Greek, Israeli, Cypriot, Turkish, Indian wines, following the conquest path of Alexander the Great, hirado.hu reported.
The workshop of Nick Adams MW and Adam Pawlowski Master Sommelier (MS) will be about how to create the perfect wine list. Anne McHale MW will present the Rhone valley, which is the most interesting wine region of France.
On the final day, VinCE Awards will be held during which the most inspiring Hungarian examples will be rewarded – the organizers told.
