Government close Magyar Nemzet interviewed Budapest police (BRFK) chief Tamás Terdik about how safe the magnificent Hungarian capital is.

According to the summary of Hír TV about the interview, Mr Terdik said Budapest was one of the world’s safest capitals. He said they had to secure 3,240 events in Budapest in 2023. They banned or restricted only 13. According to Mr Terdik, those numbers prove that the BRFK guarantees the right to peaceful demonstrations and public assemblies. The events secured by the Budapest police include the visit of Pope Francis, the World Athletics Championships and the 2023 UEFA Europa League final.

He said independent surveys showed Budapest was one of the world’s safest capitals. Their average arrival time to any crime scene is just 12 minutes, the lowest in the country.

The number of burglaries, and car thefts decreased significantly: Budapest is safe

He cited a well-known tourism magazine which rated Budapest the world’s third safest city for women travelling alone. Furthermore, the Jewish News Syndicate wrote last year that Budapest was the only European capital that deserved to be called a safe place for Jews.

Even so, we wrote about the TOP 5 most dangerous areas of Budapest you should avoid as a tourist in the Hungarian capital in THIS article.

Mr Terdik said there were 35 murders in Budapest last year, but the police managed to uncover all of them. Meanwhile, the number of burglaries fell drastically, just like car theft numbers. In 2010, 3,300 cars were stolen in Budapest. The police managed to reduce that number to only 103 in 2023. Moreover, they can catch the perpetrators with a 95% efficacy.

The General Assembly of Budapest approved the police chief’s report unanimously in March.

  1. Budapest is indeed super safe, including for Jews. (I’m a Jew and wear a kippa.) The big question is WHY and the answer is obvious: It’s because the Hungarian government, quite uniquely in Europe and, indeed, the West, refused to let the country get “diversified” in accordance with the globalist-socialist diktats. While the rest of the West has been getting “enriched” with tens of millions of illegal aliens–almost all of whom are young, fighting-age men from the most violent, misogynistic, and anti-Semitic places on Earth–flooding in, Hungary has refused to bend its knee, despite the level of pressure, blackmail, bullying, lies, and foreign interference never before seen done to a European country. No prizes for guessing who gets my vote next month!!!
