“Saturday’s election in Georgia was not won by those appointed by Brussels and the liberal mainstream, but rather the pro-sovereignty, pro-peace and pro-family ruling party which openly puts national interests first,” the minister said.

“And because the liberals failed miserably, the attacks have already started, with claims that the election wasn’t fair and that there’s no democracy in Georgia,” he said. “What’s most pathetic is that one of the biggest critics is the Lithuanian foreign minister whose party was benched by the Lithuanian voters in yesterday’s election,” he added.

  1. This is so unbelievably and nauseatingly predictable. Absolutely anyone pro-Russian, anti-western and anti-EU is suddenly Hungary’s best buddy. While the recriminations are ongoing and serious questions are being asked of the accuracy of the Georgian election outcome (I mean Georgia, a CIS state, next door neighbour of Russia and part of the Russki mir, clearly Moscow has no interest at all in influencing the outcome, right?) and coming hot on the heels of the referendum in Moldova with similar evidence pointing towards serious Russian intereference, Hungary very publicly, loudly and quickly jumps on the bandwagon of congratulating Georgian Dream, rubber stamping the election result as de facto correct, done and dusted. It’s almost as if now that the whole world effectively knows that the Budapest government are Moscow bootlickers there’s nothing left to hide anymore, might as well just come out and admit it in plain view.

  2. Orban actually extended his congratulations to Georgian Dream hours before the official result was announced on Sunday. There is no doubt that Fidesz works for Russia. Fidesz is a giant Russian turd that is so big it won’t fit down a Balkan toilet.

  3. Helping to make Hungarians the pariah of Europe, embarrassing for youth and working age, but not for many middle aged and older who remain silent and/or emigrate while blaming the same EU, the west and Ukraine for their situation?

Evidence, like Turkey, of lacking a genuine empowered middle class and related elites of all income levels, vs pensioner populism and collective narcissism, making up for decline….
