Budapest, December 7 (MTI) – Germany’s Lufthansa will start three weekly flights between Debrecen, eastern Hungary, and Munich from April next year, Ofer Kisch, the company’s regional director, said.
The flights will be operated by Bombardier CRJ900 planes on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, Kisch told a press conference in Budapest on Monday. This will be the only new destination for Lufthansa in the region in 2016, he added.
National Development Minister Miklos Sesztak told the same press conference that the launch of the new flight is proof that the upgrade of Debrecen Airport had been “a step in the right direction”.
