Budapest, July 17 (MTI) – The opposition LMP party will prepare for the forthcoming elections alone, without forming any alliance with another parliamentary party, co-leader Bernadett Szél said on Sunday.
However, the party is prepared to cooperate with others on concrete issues, she told a press conference after LMP confirmed its policy of alliances in a weekend congress.
Ákos Hadhazy, the other co-leader elected to the post on Saturday, stressed the need to replace the government in the elections and then put the country on an entirely new course.
Hadházy’s predecessor, party founder András Schiffer, announced his resignation in late May.
