Kempinski Hotel Corvinus Budapest has been chosen as “Hungary’s Best Hotel” in 2019 at the annual World Travel Awards: a feat the widely popular hotel has achieved five times now.
The hotel’s largest suite, called “Corvinal Royal Suite”, has also been given a prize for “Hungary Best Hotel Suite”, turizmus.com reports: the gala itself was held on the island of Madeira, on the 8th of June.
Stephan Interthal, head director of the hotel, was understandably joyful: “It’s an honour to receive these awards, especially considering the circumstances: we have just completed the second phase of our restoration project in April. We have overseen the complete renovation of five floors, including 33 rooms and 23 suites, in addition to the partial refurbishment of 228 rooms.”
The latest phase is just a part of a more comprehensive renovation process of the hotel whose costs are around a grand total of 3.8 billion HUF (12 million euros).
The goal of the renovation is not merely to tidy Kempinsky up but also to provide the guests with a more modern, more up-to-date service in general. By the same token, the hotel has purchased 31 new contemporary pictures to decorate their new rooms; rooms which have been designed by world-famous British designer Alex Kravetz.
