Navalny follows Russia’s former opposition leader, Alexei Navalny, in the wake of his August 2020 Novichok poisoning as he aggressively works to uncover who was behind his assassination attempt in this gripping documentary thriller.
In August 2020, a plane travelling from Siberia to Moscow made an emergency landing. One of its passengers, Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny, was deathly ill. Taken to a local Siberian hospital and eventually evacuated to Berlin, doctors confirmed that he had been poisoned with Novichok, a nerve agent implicated in attacks on other opponents of the Russian government. President Vladimir Putin immediately cast doubt on the findings and denied any involvement.
While recovering, Navalny and his team — already with a large social media following in tow — partnered with the data investigative journalism outlet Bellingcat as well as other international news organizations to investigate his attempted assassination and find proof of the Kremlin’s involvement.
The film will be shown in the original language, with English and Hungarian subtitles in the Cinema City of Mammut 2.
You can find tickets at the Cinema City online platform, or in person at the Cinema City Mammut cinema. After the film there will be a discussion about Navalny with experts. Participants: Zoltán Sz. Bíró – Russia expert and András Németh journalist HVG.

This film should be mandatory viewing for every Fidesz member of parliament but you won’t see them go within one kilometer of the cinema. This kind of film goes completely against their love interest with Putin and the mafia Russian government.
Shame on you Larry. Fidez has no illicit love relation with Putin. Russia is a best friend of Hungary and Mr Orban. That Hungary is an ope, democratic and welcoming society is reflected in this public showing of opposition trash.
Opposition trash? That comment says it all about anyone opposed to Navalny. They poisoned Navalny. He survived and went back and then they imprisoned him and eventually killed him at age 47. They won’t even release his body back to his family for fear that they will conduct an autopsy and find evidence of how they killed him. He knew that he would likely die by going back to Russia but also that his death would serve to show how afraid the regime is of the power of people to enact change. Not one of the self-serving corrupt opportunists in Fidesz can comprehend the meaning of self-sacrifice for freedom and his country that Navalny did. Fidesz is all about sucking the country dry for people like bag holder Meszaros and son-in-law Istvan Tiborcz.
what about Assange?? There is no film to honour him???? FREE ASSANGE!!!!!! USA degenerates and their double standards!!!!!
