The abuser was successfully identified and captured by Hungarian police on Monday (14 December) after U.S. authorities signalled for help with identifying a victim they found in an Interpol database. The man is suspected of having abused other victims as well.
The Department of Hungarian Cybercrime Prevention received a signal through the International Child Sexual Exploitation Database (ICSE, maintained by Interpol) from U.S. authorities regarding the identification of an unknown victim of child abuse, Police.hu reports.
Based on the recordings of the victim, cyber investigators were able to identify the boy and have managed to find his abuser also. The man living in Budapest was captured and questioned by authorities on 14 December. His apartment was searched, and all his computing devices have been confiscated. The man was taken into custody, and police initiated his arrest.
Police footage of the man’s apartment can be seen in the video below.
On 14 December, the suspect was detained by police and his arrest was initiated for crimes of sexual violence and child pornography.
The court ordered the man’s arrest two days later on Wednesday (16 December). However, the decision is not final because of the prosecution, and the suspect and his counsel appealed.
The man is also suspected of having had other victims in the past. Further investigation is being carried out to determine whether these suspicions have merit.
A few months ago, officers in Érd also arrested and detained a 35-year-old man who had a secret sexual “relationship” with an underaged girl. The relationship between the man and the little girl began two years ago, and it came to light when the child finally confessed to her parents’ questioning. Her father immediately filed a complaint with the police. For more details about that case, see the previous article.
This action proves that the American Police Force is efficient. Now, if only the leftist socialist democrats would let them do their jobs and the Obama appointed judges would keep the criminals in jails, the Us would be just as safe a country as Hungary.
