The tragic bus accident in Italy took away 16 people while 26 were left injured. Index.hu wrote about the heroes of the tragedy, without whom the outcome could have been even worse.
According to the Italian police, Index reports, one of the young victims of the horrible bus crash saved the lives of several fellow students. The police found the corpse next to the bus window with a glass-breaking red hammer in his or her hands, which strongly suggests that, until his or her last breath, the victim was trying to help the other students to get out of the burning bus.
Along with the young student, a PE teacher also proved out to be quite heroic: György Vígh went back to the bus and helped several students to exit the flames. He survived the accident, but was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

His wife Erika was also among the passengers, and as a survivor she also talked about how their 18-year-old daughter, Laura, became the victim of the flames.

She was sleeping on a seat next to her boyfriend and, because of the crash, slipped down to the ground and got stuck under a seat. Her mom tried to find a way to help her, but it was too late, because huge flames covered everything. After that the parents hoped to find their 30-year-old son, Balázs, among the surviving passengers, but apparently he died too. He was a former member of the FTC Ice Hockey club, who already shared their condolences remembering Balázs in a Facebook post.
