Bohemian party at the Museum of Fine Arts

The Hungarian Museum of Fine Arts closes for 3 years and awaits arts enthusiasts and party goers for a bohemian night in the museum. On Valentine’s Day, the museum organizes a farewell party to say goodbye to its audience until the reopening in 2018.

The organizers encourage visitors to leave their usual outfits in the wardrobe and dress up as their favourite artists or as paintings. If you like costumes, fine art and partying, spend the 14th of February in the museum, surrounded by artworks and their real-life counterparts! The best costumes will be rewarded, so you can show your creativity and parade in a Baroque-style outfit or free your inner makeup artist and become a pop-art painting – the choice is yours!

Zagar, the popular Hungarian electro-pop band will provide music on this special party, and even the drinks will be unique as the bartenders of Absolut Art Bar serve ‘Absolut Warhol’ cocktails.

The extraordinary party is complemented with the Rembradt exhibition, so if you haven’t seen the paintings of the Dutch Golden Decade at the Museum of Fine Arts, this will be your last chance. You can visit the ‘Rembrandt by Night’ exhibition with a supplementary ticket.
