(MTI) – The green LMP will field solely its own candidates in the autumn local elections and cooperate with local civil groups, senior members of the party said on Saturday.
The party adopted a related resolution at its congress.
LMP will not cooperate with either the other party groups or lawmakers sitting as independents in Hungary’s new parliament for the autumn elections, Lorant Laszlo Keresztes, a member of the party’s national board, told reporters.
Ferenc Gertsmar, another member of the national board, LMP would seek cooperation with local civil organisations, which the central government had “sought to exclude from local politics” in the past four years.
