A 68-year-old Slovak woman was killed in Esztergom. Her body was found in a drainage ditch. The murder suspect was arrested, according to the report of the Komárom- Esztergom County Police Headquarters.
On May 14, 2021, at 6:37 p.m., the police received a report that a female corpse had been found in a drainage ditch on the outskirts of Esztergom.
According to a primarily medical expert, the 68-year-old Slovak woman was the victim of crime. Police officers arrived at the scene immediately. They began analysing the clues and searching for the culprit.
The alleged perpetrator was apprehended one hour after the report.
The 24-year-old Slovak man was arrested in Esztergom on Martyrs of Arad Square at 7:40 p.m. The man was taken to the Komárom-Esztergom County Police Headquarters. He was interrogated there as a suspect, and then he was prosecuted for committing homicide, writes police.hu.

On May 13, police arrested a man in Őrbottyán and a woman in Váchartyán. The man and woman did not pay the fine imposed for the violation. Also on May 13, 2021, the police detained a wanted man in Bag, Pest County. The man was taken to the Metropolitan Penitentiary because he had not begun his legally imposed 200-day imprisonment.
It also praises the work of the Hungarian police in Esztergom that at the dawn of May 14, stolen metal objects and copper pipes were found during an identity check. The patrols stopped a local resident in a car in Dömös. During the search of the vehicle, police found a wheelbarrow, as well as copper pipes and faucets in a bag. Collected data revealed that these non-ferrous metals had been stolen from a plant site in the past 10 days. Police interrogated the driver and passenger, seized the stolen goods, and returned it to the victim.
In Debrecen, a man was caught twice in one day for drunk driving. On the morning of May 14, police stopped and then tested the alcohol levels of the driver. It became clear that the 44-year-old man had drunk alcohol. His driver’s license was revoked by the police. In the afternoon, however, the driver got in the car again, and because of his bad luck, the police stopped him again. The second time, in the case of intoxicated driving, an infringement procedure was initiated for the offence of driving without a license.
