The investigating judge has decided in Makó that the cruellest killer of Hungary will remain behind bars.
According to Blikk, András K. (29) also known as Muki by the public, raped Henrietta Pénzes (18) who was four years older than him at the time in 2006 next to Makó and then tied her to a tree and set her on fire. The young girl, despite her great distress, was able to set herself free and ask for help from onion pickers nearby.
Henrietta was taken to hospital, but her life could not be saved even by attentive hospital care, she died three weeks after.
András K. was 16 years old at the time of his hearing, and he gave five confessions during the process, the contents of four of them differed. From this, the court deduced that the accused is unreliable. At one time he admitted the felony, but at another time he denied tying up and setting her on fire he said he “only” poured gasoline on her. The latter could not be true since the young girl named Muki as her attacker to the onion pickers.
The court found András K. guilty on one count of homicide with malicious intent and particular cruelty, on one count of sexual assault and one count of depredation. He was sentenced to 15 years in prison.

Since he completed two-thirds of his time the investigating judge reviews yearly if András K. is ready for a free life.
However, it seems like Muki does not have an exemplary behaviour behind bars either thus the decision-maker ruled for his further detention.
Muki is working in the kitchen in prison, and he has finished his elementary studies. His mother died a few years ago, but he was not left without visitors; his sister visits him in prison and has promised she will help find a job for him after he is released. The actual duration of the sentence of András K. would be until 2021.
