According to Femcafe.hu, there are several parks in Hungary you can enjoy barefoot. Visiting one – or more – of them is a great idea for the summer, along with visiting some of these lakes. Either walking on sand, cherry stones, turf or rocks, it will definitely be a unique experience for your feet!

1. Balatongyörök

The Kneipp Amusement Path of Balatongyörök is an excellent choice to exercise your feet. It has both dry and wet parts to enjoy, with the water coming from Lake Balaton. In addition, you can visit a lookout tower in this area, Szépkilátó. You will not only witness the wonderful views but also enjoy another Kneipp-well near the Roman spring – having a good time is guaranteed!

2. Bükfürdő

The Kneipp well and park of Bükfürdő offer several activities. The path is 510 meters long and has parts covered by cones, sand, rocks, pearl stones, splints and grass. Kids can run around in the bush labyrinth while those who want a whole-body exercise can do yoga in the park. It is also possible to familiarise yourself with herbs and spices – everybody will find something they enjoy!

3. Csopak

Walking along the path of the Csopak Recreational Park, your feet will definitely thank you for the thorough massage. The path is covered with splints, rocks of different shapes and sizes, cherry stones, pieces of brick and pine cones, inciting very different sensations when walking on them. Some extra fun is provided by the barriers made from wood – hop on these and test how well you can balance yourself!

4. Eplény

Going to Eplény is good for those who cannot walk very long distances. The Ámos Lookout Tower can be approached by a ski lift that runs all year round. When reaching the top, you will find a walking path that runs for several meters, allowing you to marvel at the view. Walking barefoot here is not only good for your feet and your circulation but the fresh air is also food for the soul.

5. Tabajd

Tabajd has a real Barefoot Park, with basalt rocks, bricks, corncobs, splints, turf and dolomite covering its paths. It is a real treat for your feet, as it offers 21 types of surface to walk on. An additional perk is that it is free to visit, open 24 hours a day and is a great place to bring dogs along.

Walking around barefoot sounds like a lot of fun, and grabbing a few scoops of ice cream of these flavours will only improve the experience!
