Kiev, October 31 (MTI) – Hungary is providing treatment for Ukrainian soldiers at the “Hungarian armed forces health base”, the Ukraine news portal RBK Ukraine reported on Thursday, citing information by the country’s Budapest embassy press service.
In line with an agreement, three soldiers arrived for rehabilitation on Tuesday and an additional seven will arrive at a later time, RBK Ukraine said.
The report adds that Croatia had earlier also expressed its willingness to offer treatment to Ukrainian soldiers involved in the eastern Ukraine fights dubbed “anti-terrorist operation” by Ukraine.
The three soldiers who got injured in the armed conflict are in good condition, the Budapest hospital’s director told MTI.
They have been treated with wounds caused by shrapnel and will receive physiotherapy and full rehabilitation care later on, said Lajos Zsiros.
He noted that Defence Minister Csaba Hende had announced at the NATO summit in Wales in September that Hungary would provide medical care to ten Ukrainian soldiers injured in the armed conflict.
